Our Practice
Retina-Vitreous Associates is a sub-specialty practice devoted to diseases and surgery of the retina and vitreous, i.e. diabetic retinopathy, aged macular degeneration, and retinal detachment.
Our Houston location is at 2424 West Holcombe Blvd., Suite 203, in the Texas Medical Center. We have several satellite locations, in space that is designated for our use by general-surgical ophthalmologists or therapeutic-trained optometrists. These peripheral locations are fully equipped for diagnostic photography and, if necessary, for retinal laser coagulation.
We have over 24 satellite locations that extend from Huntsville, 70 miles north of Houston, to Lake Jackson, which is 50 miles to the south. We also service the Beaumont-Port Arthur-Orange triangle near the Louisiana state line. And to the west, we provide care for retina-vitreous patients in Richmond, Sealy, and Bellville (click here to view all our locations).
Retina-Vitreous employees provide Spanish speaking capability. The physicians and staff provide easily understood information and literature regarding retinal diseases. Patient education is our highest priority and as a result of those efforts, the effect of treatment is enhanced. Our efforts are gauged by the degree in which vision is maintained and restored.
The Holcombe office is our primary location and it is at that location to which all telephone calls are directed. Our staff of nine dedicated and highly trained employees provide prompt and efficient service. They work with the physicians in a team of approach. The field of retina-vitreous disease and surgery is dynamic and ever changing. Physician and technician alike must be well informed of each and every emerging treatment option. Our mission is to merge the advantages and disadvantages of all existing therapies and obtain the best ocular health for our patients
